“Tightrope Walker” — Ukrainian Postage Stamp by Ukrposhta (2025)

The postage stamp “Tightrope Walker” by Igor Khersonskyy was officially issued by Ukrposhta as part of a contemporary art series.

Based on the artist’s 2023 painting, the image depicts a solitary figure balancing on a tightrope above an abyss. The work serves as a metaphor for the fragile state of human existence — a moment suspended between risk and control, fear and resilience.

Reflecting the psychological tension of the present time, the “Tightrope Walker” embodies the experience of living on the edge, where every step requires balance, awareness, and inner strength.

The French edition of Le Sympathisant (Éditions Belfond), featuring a cover created by Ukrainian artist Igor Khersonskyy, combines artistic expressiveness with conceptual depth.

The novel, a Pulitzer Prize winner and recognized by The New York Times, explores themes of dual identity, inner conflict, and political tension.
